Managing Your Account

How do I change my email address?

Go to Settings > Account > Email. Enter your new email address and you'll receive a verification email to confirm the change.

How do I reset my password?

Click 'Forgot Password' on the sign-in page or go to Settings > Account > Password. You'll receive an email with a reset link.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This will permanently delete all your recipes, meal plans, and data. This action cannot be undone.

Can I change my display name?

Yes! Go to Settings > Profile > Display Name to change how your name appears to other users in the community.

Subscription & Billing

How much does Premium cost?

Premium is $9.99/year (that's less than $1/month!). This includes unlimited recipe imports, unlimited AI messages, collaborative cooking, calendar export, and more.

How do I upgrade to Premium?

Go to Settings > Subscription > Upgrade or visit our Pricing page. You can pay with credit card via Stripe or use Apple/Google payment on mobile.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings > Subscription > Manage. You can cancel anytime and will retain Premium features until the end of your billing period.

Will I lose my recipes if I cancel?

No! Your recipes and data are yours. If you cancel, you'll keep everything but lose access to Premium features like unlimited imports and AI.

Can I get a refund?

We offer refunds within 30 days of purchase if you're not satisfied. Contact support at [email protected] for refund requests.

Privacy & Security

Is my data secure?

Yes! We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text.

Who can see my recipes?

By default, your recipes are private. You can share individual recipes via public link, or share entire recipe books with specific people.

What data do you collect?

We collect only what's necessary to provide our service: your account info, recipes, meal plans, and usage analytics to improve the app. We never sell your data.

Can I download my data?

Yes! Go to Settings > Data > Export to download all your recipes and data in JSON, CSV, Markdown, or ZIP format.

Notifications & Preferences

How do I manage notifications?

Go to Settings > Notifications to control which notifications you receive: meal reminders, cooking session invites, messages, and more.

Can I turn off email notifications?

Yes! In Settings > Notifications, you can disable all email notifications or choose which types you want to receive.

How do I change my theme?

Go to Settings > Appearance to choose between light, dark, or system theme. This applies across all your devices.

How do I change units (imperial/metric)?

Go to Settings > Preferences > Units to switch between imperial (cups, ounces) and metric (grams, milliliters).

Data & Sync

How do I sync my data?

Data syncs automatically whenever you're online. On iOS, pull to refresh to force a sync. On web, simply refresh the page.

How do I import recipes from another app?

Go to Settings > Data > Import. We support importing from Paprika, CopyMeThat, and standard formats like JSON, CSV, and ZIP files.

How do I backup my data?

Use the export feature in Settings > Data to download a backup of all your recipes and data. We recommend doing this regularly.
